“I feel very fortunate to be returning to The Learning Center, as part of the special team of people that started my education as a 3 year old, so many years ago.  My memories of that time are strong, and very special growing up in an environment where I felt completely comfortable and celebrated as an individual.  I eventually joined the public schools here in Bradford, and went to Edinboro University graduating with a major in Health & Physical Education and a minor in Psychology.  I spent 13 summers and 8 years working full time for a sleepaway summer camp in The Poconos that was home to 650 campers (ages 6-17) and 300 staff from all over the world.  I worked in nearly every aspect of the camp from recruitment, accounting, camper advocacy to management of counselors and campers.  It was through this experience that I learned to love the outdoors and traveling.  It is also where I met my husband, who is from England.  We are beyond fortunate to have been to some amazing places and traveled to many different countries, always trying to make it back once a year to England with our kids.  I love staying active, playing and watching sports, being outside and camping with my family.

We have spent the last 14 years owning and operating a daycare, The Neighbours Kids, here in Bradford.  This allowed me to further my education in the early childhood field, and has been a huge joy.  It is a true honor to be an influential part of young people's lives. 

 

I am thrilled to join The Learning Center, with the opportunity to influence a greater number of students and families.  I have always been passionate about TLC as a student, a parent (I have two children who attend) and now as the director.  I am excited to continue to carry on the amazing things that TLC has done for decades, adding some new flare to elevate what currently exists.”
