Miss Amy
3rd and 4th Grade Teacher
 

My name is Miss Amy and I have been with TLC since 2010. I teach 3rd/4th grade as well as Stem to grades K thru 6th.

 

I have a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from UPB. I've recently completed my private school certification classes. Prior to this school year I have worn many different hats at TLC. I have been a classroom aide in 3rd/4th and 5th/6th. I have taught gym and worked a year in childcare while in college. I have a long history at this school. My mother worked in childcare for 20 years prior to my daughter Erin attending preschool thru grade 6. TLC feels like family to me. I've loved the interactions with staff and also families of students. It's these close relationships that keep me here.

 

My hobbies are anything outdoor related between the months of April and October. My other passion,besides teaching, is in animal rescue. Our family has fostered 4 dogs, roughly 40 cats and kittens as well as adopting 5 of our own animals over the years.
